Daikin air purifiers with electrostatic HEPA filter trap 99,98% of pollutants and harmful particles in the air.

When it comes to the air we breathe, the unseen has a big impact on our health. We’re referring to those small suspended particles that float in the air in our homes, offices or in any indoor space. Dust specks, allergens, pollutants or viruses that we breathe in constantly and that are harmful to us.

Fortunately, our air purifiers are equipped with electrostatic HEPA filters, the technology needed to tackle this problem. The High Efficiency Particle Arresting (HEPA) filter is capable of removing even the smallest particles from the air to improve air quality and provide clean, fresh air.

High performance HEPA filter traps small dust particles

Captures 99,98% of particles between 0.1 μm and 2.5 μm in size.

The filter effectively captures dust particles by electrostatic forces. It is non-clogging, compared to non-electrostatic HEPA filters, which retain particles only according to the thickness of the mesh.

As a result, more air passes through the filter and more air is purified than with other technologies.

How does the Daikin electrostatic HEPA filter work?

The HEPA filter effectively retains dust by electrostatic forces. The filter fibre itself is charged with static electricity and captures particles. It doesn’t clog as easily as non-electrostatic HEPA filters, which retain particles only according to the thickness of the mesh.

This way, more air passes through the filter. That means maximum air purification results. In addition, the electrostatic technology guarantees a longer replacement time, with an estimated durability of up to 10 years.

Efficiency. Captures and cleans the air of viruses, allergens and other pollutants

Durability. Up to 10 years of excellent results

Thorough cleaning. Captures 99% of particles between 0.1 μm and 2.5 μm in size

Differences between an electrostatic and a non-electrostatic HEPA Filter

Electrostatically charged filter

  • Captures 99.97% of particles, even those as small as 0.3 μm in size.
  • The filter fibre itself is charged with static electricity and captures particles effectively.
  • It does not clog easily, hence the lower pressure loss.

Electrostatically neutral filter

  • Since it traps particles only according to the mesh size, it’s necessary to manufacture a finer mesh, which clogs more easily and causes pressure losses.
