A

ABSOLUTE  VACUUM:

A pressure that cannot be further reduced is called an absolute vacuum.

                                                                                                                                                                               Top

CLIMATE CONTROL :

It is defined as the air treatment process intended to simultaneously control its humidity, cleanliness, distribution and temperature in order to meet the needs of the air conditioned space.

COLD ONLY:

Air conditioning equipment that only offers cold.

Top

D

DOMESTIC :

Simple or multiple climate control systems, both only cold and heat pump, specially developed to air condition dwellings or small premises.

DUCTED UNITS :

Compact units ideal for installing in restaurants, open-plan offices, apartments or irregular rooms, having air discharge grilles designed to guarantee uniform room temperatures; only the return and supply grilles remain visible. These units range between 1,800 W and 2,350 W.

E

ENTHALPY:
It is the sum of all the energy supplied by a mass of a given matter under any thermodynamic condition

EXTERIOR OR CONDENSER UNIT:

It is the part of the air conditioning system that is located outside the environment to be heated. Generally the compressor is located in the outdoor unit or condenser.

Top

F

FLOOR UNITS:

Modern units, recessed in the wall or installed on a base, guarantee a uniform distribution of air throughout the room, all with a low sound level and maintaining a high level of energy efficiency. This type of units can be installed individually or in multiple configurations.

H

HEAT PUMP:

Climate control systems which, in addition to offering only cold through the same circuit, offer heating.

Top

I

INDUSTRIAL:

Large-scale climate control systems that meet any need, from small offices to large surface areas (hotels, department stores, office building,...).

INVERTER:

Technology that controls compressor rotation speed in accordance with the demand for cold (cooling) or heat (heating). The units that incorporate this system keep the temperature stable (imperceptible variations of +-0.5ºC) and consume between 30% and 40% less energy than traditional systems.

INTERIOR OR EVAPORATING UNIT:

It is the part of the air conditioning system that is located inside the room to be heated. These types of units can be conduit, wall, floor, ceiling, cassette

L

LATENT HEAT :

The heat produced by a change in state without a change in temperature is called latent heat.

M

MULTIPLE or MULTI-SPLIT SYSTEM :

A climate control system comprised of one outdoor unit and several indoor units. It allows independent control of temperature, humidity, programming, dehumidification, etc.

O

ONLY COLD :

Climate control units that only offer cold.

OUTPUT :

Output is the quotient between the work executed and the time taken to execute it.

Top

OUTDOOR UNIT OR CONDENSER :

It is the part of the climate control system located in the exterior of the room to be air conditioned. In general, the compressor is located in the outdoor unit or condenser.

PRESSURE:

Strength multiplied by surface area.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Top

R

R-32:

Daikin is currently the only company in the world with joint manufacture of air conditioning equipment and refrigerant gases. The R-32 refrigerant provides a higher performance and a significantly lower environmental impact, since it reduces by 68% the Global Warming Potential of the system. In this way, the user who is changing his old system for one of these features is not only benefiting from the advantages of enjoying a more advanced technology equipment that will provide greater comfort and greater energy savings with lower costs of operation, but also have the peace of mind that you are helping to protect the environment.

REFRIGERATION:

It is defined as the process of reduction and maintenance of the temperature of a space or material below the temperature of the environment

REFRIGERANT:

A refrigerant is a calorific that displaces the heat of a space that must be cooled to the outside. To reduce or maintain the temperature of a space below the ambient temperature, heat must be extracted from the space and transferred to another body whose temperature is lower than that of the refrigerated space. This is what the refrigerant does.

RESIDENTIAL - COMMERCIAL:

Simple or multi-split systems, both only cold and heat pump, specially designed for large dwellings, commercial premises and small and medium-sized companies.

Top

S

SPECIFIC HEAT:

The amount of heat that must be added or removed to vary one Kg of substance one degree Celsius.

SENSITIVE HEAT:

The heat produced by a change in the temperature of a substance is called sensitive heat.

SIMPLE OR SPLIT SYSTEM:

A climate control system comprised of one outdoor unit and several indoor units, regardless of the indoor unit chosen (ducted, wall-mounted, floor standing, ceiling-mounted, cassette,...).

Top

T

TEMPERATURE:

Temperature measures the heat intensity or heat level of a substance. It indicates the degree of heat or how hot or cold a substance or body is.

Top

V

VACUUM:

A pressure below atmospheric pressure is called a vacuum.

WALL UNITS :

Compact units for installing on any type of wall and in any type of room. These units range between 1,800 W and 6,350 W (six models) with the objective of adapting to the customer’s needs and can be used both in simple installations (1x1) and multi-split installations.
